C S Lewis is such an inspiration to me as well. I don’t know that he would have approved of transgenderism (not, I suspect, given his time period) but I know he would have had some stern admonitions for its more self-righteous critics…
I think you are right about his knee jerk reaction to TG…however, I suspect that if he were able to converse with us, he would forget himself and join in heart to heart.
About C.S. Lewis…I think his book The Abolition of Man is one of the most prescient of the later 1900s.
I prefer a paper copy, and will look for one tomorrow. From what I have read, it seems like just the perfect antidote to all the intellectual cynicism of the blogosphere. 🙂 xxx

Also, his book The Discarded Image is an all time influence on my thinking. It’s a scholarly work rather than devotional, and it examines the mideaval mindset and way of thinking, and then contrasts it with the modern one.
