Just Because He Breathes: Learning to Truly Love Our Gay Son | Linda Robertson.
Crying so hard that it took this sacrifice: this child sacrifice in order for
these pitiable people to realize something about God…
He does not ever require us to sacrifice our children to Him, because He has already given Jesus to us who chose to be our sacrifice of love.
Listen…make it really easy: you are not God. Thus, your one and only job here in the earth is to Love Them, Love your neighbor, and be kind. Believe it or not, God really can get thru to people…way better than you can.
And pray that it doesn’t take something like this for you to see clearly.
My heart truly goes out to you and your wonderful son!
GK, this is about a different family, not me or my son. Just an FYI
I am embarrassed
That’s Okay Kevin! It is sooo easy for that to happen when I do the “Press This” option, or the reblog option in WordPress. But, ya know sumfin?
Your misreading of the post highlights the all too realistic possibilities that this can happen to anyone…any family, any person. Death is nearly always the result of intentionally poking out the eyes of our heart, even if we use the sword of the Spirit to do it!
And sadly, death comes in many forms, and that death that comes from an intentional act of self-righteousness is the bitterest, for it anesthetizes as it kills and renders us immune from the gift of pain which would alert us before it is too late to turn back and make amends.
Absolutely spot on with this my friend. I wish you would post this reply on your blog it is so good.
It’s there, GK… I was feeling that way too!
Just so you know, i grow more and more impressed with your work and with you.
Thanks very much ☺
i wonder if you know just how inspiring you are.
No, I really don’t have any idea
I am following you closely because you are. For some the journey you are on is soo frightening that the even the early stages of walking it even when they take baby steps takes every bit of their energy. They get overwhelmed even before they go very far and have to repeat their steps over and over again. Your blog offers a life line to these folks, thank you,
Ahhh…okay, GK, now that I do understand. Wow, I had not even thought about that, frankly. I just keep pressing on in faith, for i know that this truth about me is true truth, and I know also that there is no moral or spiritual reason to deny the true process of becoming, and I have seen how the injustice and misogyny directed my way is evil, it seems as if it is my sworn duty to press on…as a human being and as a woman.
Thank you for this insight, and I am now going to be more mindful than ever.
You are very sweet. i thank God for you soo often,
