Good morning Constance…another really fabulous article about Parenting Gender-nonconforming children.  The strength of this article is how it brings out that the gender non-conforming behavior occurs thru nothing the parent has done or failed to do!

That means that a lot of guilt, and therefore shame that many parents of gender-non-conforming children experience can be laid to the side as trash to discard.

Any reader who is a parent:  think about the things with your children that “just were”, and you had to accept them or divorce from your child…those were tough things…

…and then think about all that, and add in the whole Q of gender identity…

…and let your compassion and kindness grow.  Perhaps even reach out parents in your area that you know have this responsibility laid on them…let them know that they are accepted and loved and affirmed.

As you do to the least of these, so too you do to Him.

It’s a Baby! – Red Typewriter (BLESS THIS PARENT!!!)

It’s a Baby! – Red Typewriter.

Just wow…a great example for parents going forward.

Hint:  should you and your beloved decide to create the Image of God fresh and new from the joining of you two into one flesh, be mindful that if you are fortunate and blessed, you will become the parents of a healthy Baby Image Bearer of God!

Remember Them?  The Ones in Whose Image we are created?  And as Image Bearers, we are Image Sharers as well, and thus find as our Quest the high and important journey of becoming!  Loving, Joyful, Peaceful, Kind, Gentle, Good, Faithful, Patient, and in Control of our Self (ruling our spirits wisely and with comeliness).

We share another quality with Them:  we possess gender, received from Them, the Source of Gender.  We share hearts, received from Them, and some of those hearts will look like the Father’s, and some of those hearts will look like Jesus’s, and some of those hearts will look like Lady Grace’s (me, me me!! oh PLEASE LG!! Me too???)

So as a parent of this brand new, fresh, and yet to become Image Bearer, do yourselves, others and above all your child a huge favor?  Don’t give them any cause to stumble!  Including a gender stumbling block, okay?  Trust…they will know themselves far better if you are not parenting from fear, and will become the person God has created them to be.

Let that be your dream and goal:  God, help me to see my child as You made them, and help me to vision with you in assisting them to become all You have gifted them to become in this amazing sphere of creation.

Love and Grace to you always,

Charissa
